What it is
Hexaconazole 5% EC is a triazole fungicide that blocks a fungus's ability to build its own cell membrane, a mode of action different from carbendazim's, which is why the two are often rotated together.
Used for
Controls rust, powdery mildew, leaf spot and sheath blight across cereals, fruit crops, vegetables and plantation crops. Systemic and curative — it can stop an infection already underway, not only prevent new ones.
How to use
Follow the label dose and spray interval for your crop. Rotate with fungicides from a different mode-of-action group across the season, since triazoles are prone to resistance if used repeatedly on the same crop.
Safety
Check the pre-harvest interval for your crop before the last spray ahead of harvest. Wear gloves, a mask and eye protection while spraying. Avoid spraying in windy conditions to limit drift onto neighbouring crops or waterways.
