1. Who we are

Doorvagiri ("KrishiLab") operates krishilab.com, the KrishiLab app, and related IoT services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011.

2. Data we collect

Data you provide

• •Account details — name, email, phone number, and password;
• •Farm and profile details — farm name, crop type, and preferences you enter;
• •Support and enquiry messages you send us.

Data from your use of devices and the app

• •Sensor readings — soil parameters, and where enabled, GPS location of a reading;
• •Photos you capture for crop/soil analysis via the AI feature;
• •Device identifiers, firmware version, and diagnostic/telemetry data;
• •App usage and log data (screens used, errors, timestamps).

Data from payments

Payments are handled by third-party gateways. We receive confirmation and limited transaction metadata, not your full card number.

3. Why we use your data (purposes)

• •To create and manage your account and authenticate you;
• •To sync, store, and display your readings and analyses across devices;
• •To provide crop/soil advisory features, including sending photos to our AI analysis endpoint;
• •To deliver over-the-air firmware updates and device support;
• •To process orders, payments, shipping, and returns;
• •To improve accuracy and features, including model training on data where you have consented or where the law permits;
• •To communicate service, security, and transactional messages;
• •To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal basis / consent

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (obtained at signup and through in-app permission prompts for location and camera) and for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as fulfilling a service you requested. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out and may limit features.

5. Location and camera permissions

The app requests location access to tag soil readings and camera access for crop/soil photo analysis. These permissions are optional; you can decline or revoke them in your device settings, though related features will not work without them.

6. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• •Service providers (hosting, cloud, payment gateways, shipping/logistics, AI inference) bound to protect it;
• •Authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety;
• •A successor entity in the event of a merger or acquisition, under equivalent protections.

7. Data storage, transfers & retention

Data is stored on servers we operate or lease (including our cloud infrastructure at krishilab.com). Some processors may operate outside India; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection. We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required by law.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and secured databases — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• •Access and obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you;
• •Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
• •Erase your data and delete your account (see our Account & Data Deletion Policy);
• •Withdraw consent;
• •Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
• •Grieve to our Grievance Officer and, if unresolved, to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data without verifiable parental consent as required by the DPDP Act.
