What it is
A liquid blend of calcium nitrate and magnesium, two secondary nutrients plants need in smaller amounts than nitrogen or potassium but cannot grow properly without. Calcium builds strong cell walls; magnesium sits at the centre of the chlorophyll molecule that drives photosynthesis.
Used for
Corrects calcium deficiency — seen as blossom end rot in tomatoes and peppers, tip burn in cabbage and lettuce, and weak, collapsing stems — and magnesium deficiency, seen as yellowing between the leaf veins while the veins themselves stay green. Also supports flowering and fruit set in crops under stress.
How to use
Dilute exactly as the label states; concentration matters more with liquid nutrients than with granular ones because an overly strong mix can scorch roots. Check your water's EC (electrical conductivity) before mixing, since hard or saline water already carries dissolved salts that add to what you are applying. Apply through drip irrigation or as a foliar spray during active growth, not at the seedling stage.
Safety
Do not tank-mix with phosphate fertilisers — calcium and phosphate react together and form an insoluble precipitate that clogs drip lines and wastes both nutrients. Keep away from eyes; rinse immediately if splashed.
